Collaborative 6-12, Alternative, M.Ed.

Admission Requirements:

In addition to graduate school requirements , Collaborative 6-12 education students must complete the MAT/GRE, the Core Academic Skills for Educators Test, the content Praxis II examination, and the admission interview. They must also have fingerprint background clearance from ALSDE.

ED 506 - Reaching Every Learner
ED 527 - Technology-Based Instructional Strategies (or equivalent)
EDF 562 - Measurement and Evaluation in Secondary Education
Note: ED 525 may be taken in place of EDF 562 for students also pursuing Collaborative K-6
SPED 507 - Exceptional Learners in the P-12 and Secondary Programs
Note: SPED 507 is required if not previously completed
ED 538 - Teaching Math at the Secondary Level
EDI 561 - Internship in Collaborative Special Education 6-12
Note: EDI 563 may be taken in place of EDI 561 for students also pursuing Collaborative K-6
EDI 599 - Intern Certification Preparation
SPED 515 - Instructional Methods in the Inclusive Classroom
SPED 516 - Behavior Management in the Classroom
SPED 519 - Inclusion: Collaboration and Intervention
SPED 540 - Practicum in Special Education
SPED 562 - Assessment in Special Education
