A BFA in Theatre with a concentration in Musical Theatre offers students focused, hands-on skills training in the areas of acting, voice, music and dance.  By following our Theatre Curriculum, students will learn foundational Stanislavski based acting techniques as well as training in singing, dance, music theory, movement, voice for the actor, musical theatre performance and acting on camera. Students will learn how to integrate these skills to become a versatile performer well prepared to enter all aspects of the entertainment industry, as well as musical theatre.  The Musical Theatre concentration’s capstone Senior Project is an industry showcase currently held in NYC, and students receive a great deal of audition and career coaching from faculty and guest artists in each year of their training.

In addition to the BFA course requirements listed below; students must meet all general graduation requirements as listed in the Undergraduate Academic Policies  section in this Bulletin. A minimum of 127 semester hours is required for completion.
