Accreditation  

The Exercise Science and Nutrition program is recognized by the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). The coordinated program in dietetics is accredited through the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND).  

Nutrition Science 

No graduate degree is offered in Nutrition Science. The program offers courses in support of the Applied Instruction, Exercise and Nutrition Sciences, M.Ed. .

Students that are interested in becoming a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) may complete the combined BS/MEd Coordinated Program. Upon completion of the BS/MEd Coordinated Program, students will receive a Master’s degree in Applied Instruction with a concentration in Nutrition Science. Completion of the Master’s of Applied Instruction with a concentration in Nutrition Science and the successful completion of the Coordinated Program in Dietetics supervised practice courses will allow eligibility to sit for the Commission on Dietetic Registration examination for Registered Dietitian Nutritionists (RDN).
