ECE 444 - Methods and Materials for Teaching Social Studies

3 credit hours - This course addresses developmentally appropriate practices and instructional strategies for fostering collaborative and supportive learning environments, inquiry-based learning experiences with regards to culturally-responsive pedagogy that promotes social justice, civic action, professional knowledge and dispositions, equity, human rights, and advocacy within P-3 classrooms. Admission to the Teacher Education Program. Prerequisite(s): ECE 411 and ECE 446. Co-requisite(s): ECE 445, 448 and ED 447.
