Education of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing, B.S.

The College grants the B.S. degree in Education of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (EDHH) that leads to a Class B certificate (preschool through Grade 12) in special education for the hearing impaired. In addition to the General Education Core requirements and the major requirements listed below, EDHH-BS majors must meet the following requirements:
- Complete MATH 147 as part of the General Education core;
- All courses applied to the program graded with a ‘C’ or higher;
- 2.75 or higher graduating GPA, and in all teaching field and professional areas.
In addition to the requirements listed below, students must meet all general graduation requirements as listed in the Undergraduate Academic Policies section in this bulletin. A minimum of 120 semester hours is required for completion.

Teaching Field
Most teaching fields require an academic major as defined in Rule 290-3-3-.01(2). List all courses required for the teaching field.
General Education and General Electives
Students must also complete the General Education Core requirements to include any specific courses listed below. Students must also complete sufficient general electives to reach 120 or more total semester hours.
Bachelor of Science Requirements
Student pursuing a Bachelor of Science must complete an additional seven semester hours of mathematics and/or science course work beyond the general education requirement.
