The Retail Merchandising Concentration is designed for students who wish to pursue careers in buying and selling of merchandise, hiring and training personnel, management, and other related areas of the retail industry. Students in Retail Merchandising must complete a professional internship. In addition to the requirements listed below, students must meet all general graduation requirements as listed in the Undergraduate Academic Policies section in this Bulletin. A minimum of 120 semester hours is required for completion.
Major Requirements (45 credit hours)
General Education and General Electives
Students must also complete the General Education Core requirements to include any specific courses listed below. Students must also complete sufficient general electives to reach 120 or more total semester hours.
Bachelor of Science Requirements
Students pursuing a Bachelor of Science must complete an additional seven (7) semester hours of mathematics and/or natural science course work beyond the general education requirement.
