The Chemistry program has been authorized by the American Chemical Society (ACS) to offer an ACS-certified B.S. degree in chemistry. The student majoring in chemistry pursuing the ACS-certified degree must complete the following requirements. Students are required to have 400 laboratory hours above the general chemistry sequence. As graduation requirement of the major, a student must have a 2.0 (C) average in the major.
In addition to the requirements listed below, students must meet all general graduation requirements as listed in the Undergraduate Academic Policies section in this Bulletin. A minimum of 120 semester hours is required for completion.

Students must also complete the General Education Core requirements to include any specific courses listed below. Students must also complete sufficient general electives to reach 120 or more total semester hours.
