ED 503 - Power, Politics, and Change 2 credit hours This course will introduce graduate students to how educational policy is made for American schools and the effect of policies on classroom teaching. The emphasis of the course is on the complex interrelationship between politicians, private foundations and think tanks, teachers’ unions, special-interest groups, educational researchers, school administrators, boards of education, courts, and classroom teachers. Co-requisite(s): ED 504 and 506 .
