MUS 201 - Psychology of Music in Education 2 credit hours Theories of educational psychology in relation to teaching and learning will be examined, particularly within the context of music education. This knowledge will aid in the development of age-appropriate pedagogy. In addition, students will develop strategies for the inclusion of diverse learners in the music classroom, while examining their own personal/ cultural biases through reflective discussion and writing. A field experience may be required. May be repeated once for a total of 4 hours. Prerequisite(s): Successful completion of MUS 101 with a grade of C or better.
