ED 500 - Standards-Based Instruction for Diverse Learners


3 credit hour - This course prepares participants to thoroughly examine personal and professional biases, experiences, values/beliefs, and the impact of a teacher’s ability to reach students from diverse backgrounds. Participants will analyze instruction and professional and discipline-specific standards in their selected area and align instruction to become reflective, caring, and competent practitioners. They will explore the historical impact of culture, ethnicity, language, socioeconomic background, gender, ability, and interest levels in learning.
