Mission

The mission of the College of Fine Arts is to prepare students as visual artists, performers, musicians, arts educators, and communication scholars and practitioners. The College provides instruction and cultural experiences fundamental to the liberal education of Montevallo students as well as aesthetic enrichment for the citizens of central Alabama.

Graduate Offerings

No graduate degree is offered in in the College of Fine Arts; however, the college offers various teaching-field courses in support of the Secondary Education, Alternative, M.Ed.  or Secondary Education, Professional Educators, M.Ed.  with a certification in English/Language Arts or P-12 Art Education, Alternative, M.Ed.  or P-12 Art Education, Professional Educators, M.Ed.  Students who have taken slash-listed courses as an undergraduate may not receive graduate credit for those courses, with the exception of the internships, directed reading, and special topics. For information on the Master of Education programs, refer to the appropriate section under the Department of Teaching, Leadership, and Technology .
