THEA 232 - TAP I


3 credit hours - Tap I is a course designed as a study of the elements of Tap dance defined by traditional Tap technique. It assumes the student has a true desire to learn the basics of Tap technique.  Focus will be on the development of tap technique skills, spatial awareness, physical dynamics, Vocabulary expansion, and personal knowledge of the art. Attention will also be given to the development of performance quality and artistry.  Advancement in tap dance technique will assist the student in dance auditions and in musical theatre. Repeatable up to six credit hours. Prerequisite(s) with concurrency allowed: THEA 231 .
