DFM 200 - Film Theory I

3 credit hours - This course provides an introduction to the fundamental theories and critical approaches used in the study of film. We will explore key film theories, from early formalist and psychoanalytic perspectives to contemporary approaches. The course aims to develop students’ analytical skills and deepen their understanding of how films convey meaning and reflect cultural and ideological contexts.
