THEA 324 - Production Management

3 credit hours - This course will explore the work done by a Theatrical Production Manager and the Production Manager’s role of taking the artistic department’s vision and transforming the ideas into a fully realized theatrical production. The course will examine the protocols and process of a Production Manager in the context of theatrical organizations of varying types and sizes, including live events both theatrical and corporate in nature. Topics will include how to create an organization’s master production calendar, production budgets, contracting designers, directors and other artistic support personnel, collaboration, and management techniques.
