NURS 421 - Palliative Care Nursing 3 credit hours - Focuses on introducing the basic principles of palliative care and the role of the nurse in providing compassionate, evidence-based primary palliative care across the lifespan. Emphasis is placed on the nurse as a collaborative member of the interprofessional team to coordinate delivery of high-quality palliative care across healthcare settings. Nursing majors only. Prerequisite(s): Admission to Professional Nursing BSN program; Admission to RN to BSN program. Co-requisite(s): For Professional BSN majors NURS 420 .
