				Program Admission Requirements
Required Prerequisite Courses:
	- SPED 300 ASL II and SPED 307 ASL III  or demonstrated proficiency in ASL as evidenced by a score of intermediate plus or higher on the SCPI
 
	- SPED 398 Deaf Culture
 
	- CSD 411 Introduction to Audiology or SPED 320 Developing Auditory/Oral Communication with Students who are Deaf and Hard of Hearing
 
 
TEP Retention
	- Maintain minimum 3.25 GPA (Teaching Field, Professional Studies, and UM Overall)
 
	- All coursework completed with a minimum grade of “C.” Students will be allowed one repeat to improve a course grade lower than a “C.”
 
	- Satisfactory disposition ratings by education faculty with fewer than three incident reports
 
 
Progression to Internship
	- Maintain minimum 3.25 GPA (Teaching Field, Professional Studies, and UM Overall)
 
	- Completion of all prerequisite course work
 
	- Satisfactory completion of all program expectations, including field experiences, key assessments, and disposition assessments
 
	- Submitted Application for Internship by the posted deadline
 
 
Program Completion
	- 3.25 graduating GPA with a final grade of “C” or better in all Professional Studies and Teaching Field courses
 
	- Successful completion (final grade of C or better) of the following courses:
 
	- EDI 590 : Internship in P-12 Teaching
 
	- EDI 599 : Intern Certification Preparation
 
	- Satisfactory internship evaluations
 
	- Completed SPED 407/507  or equivalent, if not previously completed
 
	- edTPA Performance Portfolio Tasks (1, 2, and 3)
