The Retail Merchandising Concentration is designed for students who wish to pursue careers in buying and selling merchandise, hiring and training personnel, management, and other related areas of the retail industry. Students in Retail Merchandising must complete a professional internship. In addition to the requirements listed below, students must meet all general graduation requirements as listed in the Undergraduate Academic Policies section in this Bulletin. A minimum of 120 semester hours is required for completion.
Major Requirements (45 credit hours)
General Education and General Electives
Students must also complete the General Education Core requirements to include any specific courses listed below. Students must also complete sufficient general electives to reach 120 or more total semester hours.
Bachelor of Arts Requirements
Students pursuing the Bachelor of Art degree must successfully complete the second-year sequence of a world language. Alternative options, including a placement exam, are listed in the Bachelor of Arts requirements in the Undergraduate Academic Policies section of this Bulletin.
