Computer Science, B.A.

As a graduation requirement of the major, a student must have a GPA of 2.0 for all courses in the major. Only the highest grade a student earns in each course will be used in calculating these GPAs.

In addition to the requirements listed below, students must meet all general graduation requirements as listed in the Undergraduate Academic Policies section in this Bulletin. A minimum of 120 semester hours is required for completion.

Major Requirements (36 credit hours)

General Education and General Electives (24 hours)

Students must also complete the General Education Core requirements to include any specific courses listed below. Students must also complete sufficient general electives to reach 120 or more total semester hours.

Personal Development:
CS 161 - Introduction to Computer Science
Computer Science majors must complete either:
1. A minor in a selected field or
2. A second major

Bachelor of Arts Requirements

Students pursuing the Bachelor of Art degree must successfully complete either the second-year sequence of a ASL, FRN, GER or SPN or the first year course sequence in two different languages. Alternative options, including a placement exam, are listed in the Bachelor of Arts requirements in the Undergraduate Academic Policies section of this Bulletin.
