MATH 147 - Finite Mathematics 3 credit hours - General Education - Topics in finite mathematics and their applications. The course includes sets, counting, permutations, combinations, basic probability (including Baye’s Theorem), an introduction to statistics (including work with Binomial and Normal Distributions). Prerequisite(s): MATH 131 OR 144 OR ACT Mathematics subscore of 20 or higher OR SAT Mathematics subscore of 444 or higher OR grade of B or higher in Algebra II, Pre-Calculus, or Calculus on high school transcript OR by departmental placement exam.
