DFM 350 - Documentary Production I 3 credit hours - This course is designed to introduce students to the foundations of documentary filmmaking through a combination of practical exercises, screenings, and theoretical readings. It aims to provide a holistic understanding of how documentaries are conceived, shot, and edited while considering ethical implications, storytelling techniques, and production logistics. Students will work on short documentary projects throughout the semester and collaborate with peers to explore various forms of nonfiction storytelling. Prerequisite(s): DFM 215 or MC 315 .
