Psychology, B.S.

Psychology, B.A. & B.S.


Psychology majors take a major achievement test (ACAT) in Psychology during their senior year. Psychology majors are not required to have a minor. In addition to the requirements listed below, students must meet all general graduation requirements as listed in the Academic Programs and Policies  section in this bulletin. A minimum of 120 semester hours is required for completion.

Select one from the following:

  • PSYC 321  - Social Psychology
  • PSYC 375  - Psychology of Personality
  • PSYC 394  - Special Topics in Social Psychology

Select 9 credit hours from the following:

  • PSYC 300/400 electives
  • SWK 311  - Substance Abuse

B. Cognition and Learning

Select two from the following:

General Education and General Electives


Students must also complete the General Education Core requirements to include any specific courses listed below. Students must also complete sufficient general electives to reach 120 or more total semester hours.

Bachelor of Science Requirements


Student pursuing a Bachelor of Science must complete an additional seven semester hours of mathematics and/or science course work beyond the general education requirement.
