Program Admission Requirements:
TEP Retention
- Maintain minimum 3.25 GPA (Teaching Field, Professional Studies, and UM Overall)
- All coursework completed with a minimum grade of “C”. Students will be allowed one repeat to improve a course grade lower than a “C”.
- Fewer than three incident reports
Progression to Internship
- Completion of all prerequisite coursework
- Teaching Reading (test code: 5204)
- 155 Minimum Score Requirement. Effective 9/1/18, a score of 159 will be required.
- Official score report must be received by TES prior to internship semester
- Special Education Praxis (test code: 5354)
- 153 Minimum Score Requirement.
- Official score report must be received by TES prior to internship semester.
- Satisfactory completion of all program expectations, including field experiences, key assessments, and disposition assessments
- Submitted application for internship by the posted deadline
Program Completion
- 3.25 graduating GPA with a final grade of C or better in all Professional Studies and Teaching Field courses
- Successful completion (final grade of C or better) of the following courses:
- EDI 560 , 561 , or 563 : Internship in Collaborative Education
- EDI 599 : Intern Certification Preparation
- Satisfactory internship evaluations
- edTPA Performance Portfolio Tasks (1, 2, and 3)
