QM 237 - Data Analytics in Business I

3 credit hours - An introduction to foundational data analytics using tools such as Excel, and Open Solver. Introductory programming using Python based machine learning libraries will be explored. Basic data mining algorithms and statistical techniques such as classification, linear regression and clustering will be covered. Students will be exposed to data analytics techniques, such as data wrangling, model building, basic data visualization and interpretation of results for making business decisions. Prerequisite(s): MATH 144, 147 or higher.
