ECE 410 - Teaching of Reading

3 credit hours - This course addresses developmentally appropriate practices and instructional strategies for the Foundations of Literacy Acquisition within P-3 classrooms. With a focus on developmentally appropriate practices, this course will explore content relating to language and literacy development, stages of literacy development, the Science of Reading, and instructional practices for teaching and learning including literacy assessments and dyslexia. Admission to the Teacher Education Program required. Co-requisite(s): ED 401, EDF 330 and EDF 375.
