In addition to the requirements listed below, students must meet all general graduation requirements as listed in the Undergraduate Academic Policies section in this Bulletin. A minimum of 133 semester hours is required for completion.
A minimum grade of C is required for all music courses. Students may attempt a course no more than twice to earn a minimum final grade of a C.

Applied Studies
Primary Instrument
- MUP 1xx (2 semesters x 2 hours each)
- MUP 2xx (2 semesters x 2 hours each)
- MUP 3xx (2 semesters x 2 hours each)
- MUP 4xx (1 semester x 2 hours)
- 7 semesters instrumental ensemble (7 credit hours)
- MUP-Applied Secondary Instrument (4 semesters for 1 credit hour each)
- MUP-Chamber Ensemble (1 credit hour)
- MUP 490 - Senior Recital
Instrumental Concentration Methods
General Education
A minimum grade of C in all General Education courses will be required for admission to the Teacher Education Program (TEP). The General Education core curriculum, described in the Undergraduate Academic Policies section of this Bulletin, applies to all students pursuing the B.M. in Music-Instrumental Education with the following exceptions. Students must also complete sufficient general electives to reach 133 or more total semester hours.
